Lloret Sunday Market & Classic cars

Its been a good day in Lloret today with plenty of activity in town and the weather was great with hardly a cloud in the sky!
The first stop for us today was to head down to the market and classic cars exhibition for some photos for the blog. There were only three cars there today so that was a disappointment, maybe they had all taken off somewhere else for the day with the weather being so good!

Most of the market stalls were selling second hand stuff, much of which any normal person would have thrown out years ago as you can see in the photos below!
Although some stalls were selling some nice things such as hand made jewellery, ornaments for the home and clothing.

After the market the horses and their riders were due in town for the Sant Antoni Abad festival so the next stop was to go to the church where they were all going to gather at 11.30...photos of which you can see here tomorrow.

Hi Jackie, so nice to see your lovely photos, the weather looks great!... I wondered if I could get some advice about transport to barcelona. My son and I will be in Lloret 3rd-7th May and I'd like to go and see how the Sagrada Familia is coming along. I have been a few times on bus to Blanes then train but never taken bus direct. Do you know which is cheapest, and quickest as we'd like to get back for evening meal?

Hi Carol Leave it with me for a day or so and I'll get hold of the latest timetable from the bus station, and also where to go from the bus station in Barca. Thats about the best and quickest way to get there, the train takes forever as you know! There is the excursion that goes but I dont have prices for them just yet, hope to get them this week.

Ok, thanks Jackie. I've been on the excursions before but they are expensive and I quite like to explore and do my own thing. I only wish I'd been there this last weekend for the market and parade. Never mind, a few days in the sun will do me.
