Lloret de Mar - Fira de Americano's

If you are in Lloret this weekend then there are lots of things taking place, here are some photos of what we came across this lunch time.

Death of Craig Mallon in Lloret de Mar 2012

This is a family appeal for information regarding the death of Craig in Lloret de Mar 19th May 2012. Please take a few minutes to read as any help will be much appreciated.

Craig Mallon was murdered outside Rockefellers Nightclub in Lloret de Mar, Spain around 6am on Saturday 19th May 2012 and to date no-one has been identified for this crime.
Someone somewhere must know who was responsible or have that small piece of information like being in Rockefellers Nightclub (where Craig was prior to his death) or in the area which could assist to identify the culprit or lead to other potential witnesses.
It is even possible the person involved may not be aware of the fatal consequences of what would appear to have been a single punch to the head and that is something Craig’s parents very much appreciate.
One year later on 18th /19th May 2013 Craig’s mum Antoinette and dad Ian visited the scene and launched a poster campaign which is linked to social networking, the media and Spanish Solicitor Berta del Castillo Jurado  www.luisdelcastillo.com which they hope will provide information to assist the investigation into Craig’s tragic and senseless death.
Craig’s mum and dad said:-
“Last year we lost our son Craig who had everything to live for. In one second his young life was ended by a single punch from someone who is still out there living a normal life totally unaware of how our lives have been torn apart by the grief of losing a dearly loved son.
Someone somewhere is aware of who was responsible for assaulting Craig and there must be lots of people who have information which may assist our desperate search for the truth.
We have created the Facebook Appeal https://www.facebook.com/CraigMallonAppeal?ref=nf  and confidential e mail address info@craigmallon.com to appeal for any information which may assist to piece together what happened that night.
If you were in Lloret de Mar Spain on 18th/ 19th May last year (2012) particularly in Rockefellers Nightclub or the street nearby when the fatal assault took place around 6am on 19th May 2012 you may have some information which can assist.
No matter how insignificant you think it may be please contact our appeal e mail address with that information.
It means so much to us to get some information which may assist to trace the person who so quickly took Craig’s life.”
Last weekend (7th /8th June) David Swindle www.davidswindle.com who has been engaged by Craig’s employers Laing O’Rourke to assist the family in their search for the truth returned to Lloret de Mar and met with Jackie Reindl and other locals as part of the family appeal.
It is hoped the information on this Blog will assist Craig’s family’s desperate plea for help.

Lloret de Mar June events

Lets hope that this good weather we're having just now continues into next weekend as we have  a very busy events calendar in Lloret for Friday 14th, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th.  Taking place is the 3rd event of the Fira del Americanos which recreates the era of the late 19th century when many people from Lloret took to the seas and went over to the America's to make their fortune - those who returned with their new found wealth built the large 'mansions' which we can still see examples of on the seafront in Lloret today. All along the promenade will be market stalls and located in front of the town hall will be a replica of the Floridita Bar in the Cuban capital of Havana.

Es Nais and Miss Ling the 'giants' of Lloret will also be out and about this weekend along with 100 or more of their 'friends' from the surrounding regions! All activities over the weekend will be centered around the Town Hall and also the carousel square Placa Pere Torrent.
