Lloret de Mar boat trips

Taking the boat from Lloret de Mar beach is the easiest way to reach other nearby beaches along the coast. Travelling south from Lloret the first beach you will come to is Fenals, a small neighbourhood  with a few hotels, shops, bars and restaurants and a much relaxed atmosphere than Lloret de Mar. The next pull in for the boat is Santa Cristina beach, no shops here but a very nice beach bar and restaurant and if you walk up the sandy pathway you will reach the little church of 'Santa Cristina' alongside of which is  a statue of Santa Cristina herself the the patron saint of the area.

Views of the coast from Santa Cristina.

Lloret de Mar Views

Yesterday I think must have been the warmest day of this year so far, so out we went to take a few photos down near Lloret beach, nothing quite unusual here with these 2 shots but did you ever see the castle looking quite like this.....

Santa Cristina near Lloret de Mar

Santa Cristina beach and church as you've never seen it before!

Another day trip from Lloret.

Another day and another 'adventure' out from Lloret de Mar, this little Catalan village is Monells in the Baix Empordà region and only a 1 hour drive from Lloret. It is typical of the many inland villages you come across as you travel inland away from the Costa Brava coast, but each village has its own special charm! At Monells there is a small river running through the centre, on both sides are pretty old well kept dwellings and narrow streets which are lined with potted plants and flowers adding lots of colour the town.
