Lloret de Mar the summer is here!

The summer seems to have taken its time arriving this year with the weather been really unsettled during the month of May. We are now just one day away from June and the forecasts are looking much more promising with lots of sun forecast for the coming week. The beaches are looking good with all the beach bars open, sun beds & parasols are available to hire on both Lloret and Fenals beaches.

Every year in Lloret we have the very popular parade of horses around the streets by the town hall. This event is popular for all age groups especially the children who love to see the horse as they prance along the road!

Tirada l'Art, Lloret de Mar 2018

This morning I had a very early start (7.30 in fact!) to the day to go over to Lloret to take photos of the Tirada L'Art which is an old tradition of fishing which takes place on Lloret beach 2-3 times a year. Today the weather was great and not as cold as previous years. Once the nets have been pulled into the beach its always hoped that there are plenty of fish to serve for breakfast to reward those who have done all the hard work! I'm glad to say this morning there was lots to share and it was served with 'pan con tomate' and lots of wine!
