Playa De Aro

The beach at Playa De Aro just seems to go on and on, at more than 2km long it is one of the longest beaches on the Costa Brava. Just like anywhere else on the Costa Brava this beach is kept spotlessly clean.
It also has the services of lifeguards and first aid centres.
You can also join in at the Beach Fun Area which is free for anyone, activities here include...water-volleyball, beach- tennis, football, beach- rugby and for the younger children there is a work shop where they can learn crafts and take part in their own gentler games! All under cover so there is no danger of sunburn!!

Hi wilma, nice to hear from you again! Playa De Aro is way up the coast towards France. You can travel up there from Lloret on the boat (takes about 90mins)
but only during the busy summer months. The boats only travel between Tossa & Blanes in the winter.

Thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoy the blog...makes it all worth while! Hopefully the weather will still be good for the first week of October. Though rain is due any time in Oct.Temperature wise its quite normal for an average of 23c (in the shade!!)Evening times you will need a light jacket of somekind as that does come quite cool. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Hi Lucylu. I'm not quite sure what Playa de Aro its self is like these days. I stayed there on holiday about 20yrs ago now and even then it was a very nice place, loads & loads of good classy shops. Very 'French' as its quite a way up the coast towards the border from here. If I were you I would visit Girona (the old part) and Barcelona if possible...dont worry about the weather, its HOT !!
Hope you enjoy it, I'm sure you will.....Jackie
