Lloret Clon Festival 2013

Yesterday was the first of this years Clon Festival events with the Beatles tribute band 'Abbey Road'

This time the festival got off to a different start with a very successful early evening event for the children, giving the scene an unusual backdrop of the sea crashing up on the rocks behind the stage. Abbey Road were due back on stage at 10.30, I'm sure that the hundreds of people who turned up to watch them had a fantastic time just as all the kids did for the early show....excellent!

The next band will be a tribute to Red Hot Chili Peppers the 'Funky Monks' see them on stage at 10.30pm 9th August.

Lloret de Mar Fireworks 2013

Instead of going over to watch the annual fireworks display from the beach as we usually do, we had the idea of trying to see them from a distance and found a very good spot in between Lloret and Fenals. No photos this time as they do tend to all look the same after taking them year after year, but here's something a little different - 2 videos of the full 20 minute display but all crammed into less than 2 minutes!
