Most significant price rises at the moment seem to be on the hand rolling tobacco.

A Colourful Day in Lloret

 Yesterday while walking around the town there seemed to be a mass of bright colours everywhere, from the Town Hall which was decorated in flags to celebrate the Santa Cristina fiesta, to the parasols, kayaks and cocktails on the beach.

This is just a small sample of the colourful photos we took.

Lloret de Mar - Santa Cristina Fiesta

There's been a lot of activity out at sea in Lloret today, this was to celebrate the patron saint of Lloret de Mar, Santa Cristina. This special fiesta day started early this morning with the procession of boats setting off to the hermitage of Santa Cristina carrying the statue of the saint from Lloret's Sant Roma church.  Once there they then make their way to the tiny church of Santa Cristina where they all gather for mass and a typical Catalan meal of Estofado (a very tasty meat stew) is served for those taking part. It was far too early for us to be out and about taking photos of the start of their journey but here we have a few of the boats making their way back to Lloret to return the statue of Santa Cristina.
