While so many bars, restaurants and other businesses are finding it hard to keep their doors open in these hard times, there is some good news about one of the old favourites in Lloret! El Relicario - the famous chicken restaurant has this summer opened for business again after been closed for many months. We payed a visit last night and were warmly welcomed by some of the original staff. After we arrived the restaurant slowly began to get busy with lots of familiar faces who just like us were eager to find out if the chicken was as good as it always was....no need to worry though I can confirm it was excellent with the usual excellent service!
A genuine AWARD WINNING blog with all the insider info you need to know about Lloret de Mar its events, excursions, restaurants, pubs, bars and nightlife.

Last night in Rabbies Bar we were very privileged to witness a marriage proposal, Ian suprised us all when he got down on one knee and proposed to his partner Linda. He had a beautiful diamond engagement ring ready to place on her finger, champagne on ice...she said YES!!
The proposal !
Congratulations to Ian & Linda from Hammy and everyone else at Rabbies, we all hope you will have a long and happy future together!

Sunny October in Lloret
Here are some stunning views of Fenals beach taken just last week. For the start of October we had bright sunny days with good temperatures but now it seems that winter is now closing in as this weekend has been much cooler with quite a bit of rain. The resort is now very quiet with some hotels, bars and restaurants already closed for the season...others are planning on closing by the end of the month.

Lloret de Mar, Cala Banys views
One of the most picturesque views in Lloret!
Looking out to sea from the terrace of the bar at Cala Banys
Back in May I published photos of the 'lovers locks' which are been fastened to the chain surrounding the Dona Marinera statue, since then many more have been placed there with names and dates of the people who left them.
A lovely clear view of the coast showing Blanes in the distance.
