Lloret de Mar to Circuit de Catalunya
Judging by the emails I've had during the last 3-4 weeks it seems that those who have tickets for the F1 in Barcelona are unsure of the travel options they have to the Circuit de Catalunya from Lloret de Mar. Some of you may opt to rent a car or make your way there by public transport. The latter of which means a lengthy trip by both bus and train with several changes. By far the easiest way for a stress free journey would be to book a direct transfer to the circuit with pick up and return near to your hotel. For details of how to book your seat on the coach just contact me at jackiereindl@gmail.com.
Lloret de Mar, A different view!
Heres a few unusual night shots of Lloret de Mar.
Below is a night time view of Roca Grossa the urbanisation at the back of town which looks down over the whole of Lloret.

Cats Festival 2014 - Lloret de Mar
The 'Cats Festival' this morning had a lovely warm sunny day for the start of their annual event. Starting off with different groups taking to the stage dressed in their colourful costumes they put on a fantastic show enjoyed by everyone there.
The children also dressed in their cat costumes were fascinated as they watched the show.

Beach damage - Lloret & Fenals
The latest photos of the damage to both Lloret and Fenals beaches clearly show that more damage has occurred during the week. Even more massive rocks and boulders have been uncovered owing to the fact that so much sand has been taken out to sea. What will be done to repair the beach we will have to wait and see, sometimes the sea will bring back so much of the sand it has taken but its doubtful that this will be repaired by mother nature alone!
Walkways which lead to nowhere! |
Fenals beach below... the stone path which should lead down to the sand has been so badly damaged that now the bottom half is just a pile of rubble.
So much sand has been taken that these rocks are not usually visible on Fenals beach!

Lloret de Mar Countryside
If you fancy a day with a difference in Lloret then its sometimes nice to get away from town and just take a gentle stroll through the woods and countryside at the back of the resort....just as we did yesterday to take the pictures you see here. Apart from the amazing views stretching as far as the eye can see you will come across horses and donkeys in the fields and even though we are getting towards the end of February there are still lots of colourful flowers in bloom.
