This Easter weekend Hostalric will be hosting its usual Easter Medieval Event when the town will be transported back to years gone by and resemble an 'Olde Worlde' village with market stalls of local made crafts and foods, entertainers and activities etc. With the fortress walls surrounding Hostalric and its tiny narrow streets it will surely be not too hard to imagine just how the village looked back in those medieval times!

Lloret de Mar by Night
After yesterdays sports teams taking part in games on Lloret beach last nights pictures show a much more tranquil scene with the lights from the seafront stores, restaurants...and also an added bonus was the full moon we happened to catch while it was quite low in the sky!

Palm Sunday in Blanes
Just a week to go before the busy Easter holiday period but already the resorts are very busy with holiday makers especially as today is Palm Sunday. Today we spent 3-4 hours in Blanes the next resort down the coast from Lloret where all along the seafront and around the harbour area was filled with families enjoying the warm weekend weather.

Lloret de Mar boat trips
Taking the boat from Lloret de Mar beach is the easiest way to reach other nearby beaches along the coast. Travelling south from Lloret the first beach you will come to is Fenals, a small neighbourhood with a few hotels, shops, bars and restaurants and a much relaxed atmosphere than Lloret de Mar. The next pull in for the boat is Santa Cristina beach, no shops here but a very nice beach bar and restaurant and if you walk up the sandy pathway you will reach the little church of 'Santa Cristina' alongside of which is a statue of Santa Cristina herself the the patron saint of the area.
Views of the coast from Santa Cristina.
