At last the sun has made an early appearance in Lloret today giving holiday makers a chance to get out and enjoy the warm temperatures either by relaxing at one of the seafront lounge bars or lazing about on the beach. Dark clouds are building up over the hills behind Lloret threatening to rain but hopefully the sun will stay with us for the rest of today.

Lloret de Mar weather
The predicted bad weather for today seems to have headed off somewhere else as this morning on the seafront blue sky was spotted through a break in the clouds and its been a very pleasant day so far!

Lloret de Mar weather
Sadly it looks as though this heavy rain we have in Lloret at the moment is set to stay with us for the rest of this week. Over the weekend we have seen Ferris, Siesta and Parks of Hamilton coaches arriving from the UK bringing holiday makers for which some will be their main annual holiday. Let's hope that for all their sakes that the weather does pick up and they do get some nice bright sunny days!

Lloret de Mar Today
For the time of year it's still very quiet in Lloret, but then again the good weather seems to have left us for a few days. Today's weather is very cloudy and damp with possibly chance of rain and a storm later today. The only activity on the beach this morning were a group of school children with their teachers practising their rowing skills!

A day at Sant Feliu de Guixols
For interesting days to other nearby towns out from Lloret de Mar then you have a choice of either inland medieval villages or other seaside resorts you can visit. The most popular with easiest access by public transport are Blanes or Tossa de Mar, but just beyond Tossa is the lovely little seaside resort of Sant Feliu de Guixols....not as easy to reach as some places but well worth a visit to see the historic town and its small port. Boats from Lloret travel up the coast to Tossa de Mar from where you can then take another boat to Sant Feliu or catch a bus to Girona bus station and then take another bus into Sant Feliu.
The Benedictine Monastery dating back to the 10th century is now home to the towns History Museum.
