Boadella Beach Lloret
Today we went over to Boadella beach to take a few photos from the cliff tops and also down on the beach. What we didn't realise was just how rough the sea was at times and we took a few pics of these 2 children who were having a great time dodging the big waves as they came in! Their father was close by and I asked him for his email address so I could send him the photos. Thank you to him for allowing us to take the photos!
Great scenery of the coast from the cliff tops!

Days out from Lloret - Figueres
Figueres, often referred to as the home of Salvador Dali is one of the most popular excursions from Lloret de Mar and other nearby resorts. Sightseeing in Figueres you can see many museums with the most famous being the Dali Theatre - Museum (one of the most visited in Spain) the church of St Peter, La Rambla, Castle of San Fernando....and not forgetting some of the most weird and wonderful decorations to the towns buildings you will ever see! Around the area of Dali's museum are numerous very good restaurants and outdoor cafes where you can sit and take the weight off your feet after a hard day sightseeing and shopping!

Sightseeing in Girona
When holidaymakers come to Lloret de Mar they are usually wanting to know of the best places to visit in the surrounding area...one place they never think of visiting is Girona, But what a beautiful city it is...so underrated! There is a regular bus service from Lloret bus station direct to the bus station in Girona, from there you simply make your way across the river to the old part of town where you will find a maze of narrow cobbled streets, lovely medieval houses which line the river, the Jewish quarter, delightful shops, museums, the church of Sant Feliu, and Santa Maria Cathedral.

A Day in Rupit
Yesterday was a perfect day to take a trip into the Catalan countryside, the temperature was a very nice mild 20ºc and is forecast to stay like this for the Easter weekend. We set out for the day and spent a lovely few hours at the little medieval village of Rupit in the county of Osona.
The village is set on a narrow cliff which is reached by crossing the hanging bridge above the 'Riera de Rupit'....dont look down if you are afraid of heights!
Rupit is a favourite tourist excursion destination owing to its fantastic views of the from the top of the village, and not forgetting the little cafes, craft shops and restaurants.
