A stroll along the seafront!

Here are a few recent pics taken along the seafront in Lloret...

In the first picture you can see the yellow L2 bus, a very handy service if you need to travel between Lloret de Mar and Fenals and you dont fancy the walk! At present the fare is €1.35.
In the second picture are the kiosks where to book your boat trips to other beaches and resorts such as Tossa de Mar, Blanes, and Calella.

Here we have part of the nightlife area which comes to life late at night and closes as the day breaks!

To get away from the heat of the sun you can take a stroll through the older streets towards the back of town....some are lined with colourful trees giving lots of shade.

Americanos Fira 2015

Starting today Friday 12th and going on until Sunday 14th June is the 5th edition of the Americanos event when we see how people from Lloret de Mar traveled to Cuba and the West Indies to earn their fortunes. Many of them did and on their return to Lloret built the large buildings and homes we can still see today on the seafront and in the older streets in the centre of town.

Views of Lloret

From the Roca Grossa urbanisation at the back of Lloret there are many view points from which to look down over the town and get some great shots. Lloret has so many different areas to see, from here you can see the villas and homes of Roca Grossa and the older part of town in the centre.  The taller buildings are the residential/ holiday apartments and hotels, you then have views of the coast with the boats out at sea and in the far distance is the next resort of Blanes.
