Market day in Lloret de Mar
Every Tuesday morning in Lloret you will see groups of people heading towards the market to search for the best bargains. Just now as the weather has cooled down considerably the stalls are stocked with winter clothes....along with the usual Spanish dresses, underwear, bags, shoes and lots of fruit and veg. The market starts at about 8.30am, the stall holders begin to pack up and close between 1-2pm.

Living in Lloret de Mar, Spain
Is it maybe a dream of yours to pack your bags along with your personal belongings and move over to Spain either to work or retire when the time comes? If so then there is a very good website I've come across which gives lots of advice from people who have done just that! Whether your looking for work, wondering what the lifestyle is like, wanting to learn the language, read up on the news from around Spain, see TV listings for the UK or even download some useful documents to help you get through all that red tape you will find lots of useful information on the Spain Buddy site. You can read personal interviews and experiences of others who have taken the plunge with the latest episode been from Lloret de Mar....read the piece here - Moving to Lloret de Mar

Three drowned in Lloret this week.
PHOTOS OF THE BEACH TODAY
Today the sea in Lloret has claimed another life making that the third this week. The sea has been very rough for several days now and red flags have been flying warning people of the danger. Its not always possible for visitors to Lloret to realise just how dangerous the sea here can be, sometimes the red flags are up and it may look quite calm...but there maybe very strong undercurrents...flags are there for a reason! There are three flags and they are to be treated as traffic signals - green for go, yellow for caution and red is always STOP. Meaning that no one is allowed in the sea, the lifeguards do a fantastic job on Lloret beaches and what ever they say must go! Flags are always displayed on poles at the top of the beach but if you see red flags in the sand by the waters edge then on one is allowed beyond that point...see the photo below. Please have a great time and take care while on your holidays in Lloret...take notice of the flags and stay safe.

Out & about in Lloret today
This morning the weather was very overcast and grey but we decided to take a trip up to the urbanisation of Roca Grossa from where there are very good views of all Lloret, Looking out to sea we could see a large yacht berthed in a small cove near Boadella, so we went to take a closer look! The name of the yacht is 'Beiss' I've looked online to try find who the owner is (as I usually do!) but this time I couldn't find any listing for it.

Costa Brava Rally 2015
Today is the last day of this years Historic Costa Brava rally which once again was based in Lloret de Mar. There has been a host of events throughout the weekend but this morning we had another chance to see a team of Castellers in Lloret at the closing event.
