Bikers in Lloret

The bikes parked along the seafront in Lloret on Sunday stretched for as far as the eye can see, reported numbers are saying 600 plus!

They were in town for a very worthy cause and that was to collect food and raise money for needy families.  Magic shows and live music were staged throughout the day, many of the bikers were allowing people to have their photos taken on the bikes.

Next Sunday evening in Lloret will be another important event in the bikers calendar when they will for the 4th time have the honour of  carrying the Canigou Flame for the San Juan Festival.

Lloret de Mar - Giants Parade

What a great week end of events we've seen in Lloret de Mar this weekend, from Friday until Sunday, it can only be described as carnival time atmosphere! Today Sunday was the busiest day I've seen in Lloret for a long time, even the number of 'giants' this weekend have out numbered the people you could see on the streets of Lloret a few days ago! The beach front was lined by hundreds of spectators watching the giants walking and dancing as they made their way to the carousel square.
The various group of giants had from all over Catalunya to take part in the weekend activities and parading along with the giants were bands of drummers and pipers of all ages...even Morris Dancers accompanied one group!
