The first of this years Clon Festival events began night with the Michael Jackson Tribute, it was again a fantastic success and held in its new location of Placa Pere Torrent (the carousel square) which proved to be a good move. Whether you like Michael Jackson or not it was a very good show and he sang and danced for 2 solid hours!
I wouldn't like to guess how many watched last nights show but its certainly the biggest crowd I've seen for any of the previous tribute events.

Hi jackie Ive been following your site for a while now since we booked our holiday in Lloret. We have just had 10days in the Oasis park hotel in fenals.It was less than half full with no Brits in there at all apart from one Scottish family. We went in all the pubs on your web site (we're too old for the discos) and found there was little or no atmosphere in any of them. One pub in Fenals had no one in at all and 2 in Lloret were also empty. We hardly heard any English voices in Lloret at all what is happening there? I'm glad to say that the weather couldnt have been better and the hotel very nice, but as for atmosphere there is none.
Yes, your right for some reason the Brits just havent come this year, if its the weak pound or not I dont know. I've spoken to many of the bar owners and they say its the worst year ever for trade. The ones who do come tend to be all inclusive where even the drinks are included in the price so then they just dont visit the bars and restaurants but tend to spend their holiday in the hotel.
